Just As He is! 2 (2)

At salvation, your spirit was totally changed. You are not trying to get anything from God, all you would ever need is already present in your spirit. You are not trying to be righteous, righteousness is now your identity. Righteousness is first right nature that produce right doings (Romans 3:21-22). For more understanding about righteousness, read a post I once put up on it at  THE UNRIGHTEOUS CHRISTIAN . You are not trying to be healed, health is already in your spirit. (1Peter2:24). You are not trying to be blessed, your spirit already is (Ephesians 1:3). You are not trying to overcome sin, your spirit has been given dominion over it( Romans 6:14). You are not going to have eternal life after death, you already have it now and it is at work in you.(John 17:3, 1 John 5:9-13).

The challenge most christians have is that their experience is different from the reality they have seen in the Word. E.g Romans 6:14 says sin shall no longer have dominion over you but you still find yourself making mistakes sometimes, struggling with the same sin or habit you had before you got born again. 1 Peter 2:24 says ‘By His stripes you were healed’ but you still have symptoms in your body. It is important you understand that it’s one thing to have the nature of God, it’s another thing to give vibrant expression of this nature.

Your basic understanding should be knowing who you are in Christ and what has been made available for you. Your entire Christian walk should be centered on knowing these things and releasing them into your soul and body. This is what it means to work out your salvation. Salvation made all things available in your spirit but you have  responsibility to release them into the physical in order to enjoy them. You are not trying to get God to do something, you are reaching out from the deposit of God within to enjoy it without.

It was your spirit that was saved, your soul and body wasn’t. Your soul is still being saved.(James 1:21). The salvation of your soul comes through renewal with the word of God. At this point, your soul begins to agree with your real identity in the spirit. It is awakening, to the consciousness of who you really are. Once your spirit and soul agree, you will experience the life of God in your body.

In a nutshell, how to make your experience conform with the realities in the word is

  1. Understand your identity, who you are in Christ, what your spirit has been given
  2. Renew your mind to this truth. Renewal of the mind however is not an event that you do once, it is your daily responsibility.
  3. Walk in this truth, let the thought and the understanding of who you are, rule your consciousness. It simply means letting your spirit take dominion over the flesh(soul and body).

This is how to release and enjoy who you are and what you have. Your victory is imminent if you can give yourself to these things.
