Philippians 3:1 (Amplified): For the rest my brethren, delight yourself in the Lord, and CONTINUE TO REJOICE THAT YOU ARE IN HIM.
Dear Woman, the revelation of who you are IN CHRIST will keep you in constant joy. The best place you can be in your lifetime is IN CHRIST. Christ is not just a person, He is a place, a position in God. We were once afar off, lost in sin and doomed for eternal judgement, but Christ in His mercy came to reconcile us back to the Father. Christ became the standard of our right standing with God, sit with him and enjoy all He has made available.
2Cor 5:17: If anyone is IN CHRIST, he is A NEW CREATION, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.
As you fellowship with the realities of who you are in Christ, there will be an outbreak of joy on your inside. In Christ, you are not who you used to be, you are totally NEW! Hallelujah!
In Christ, you obtained forgiveness, no matter how notorious you had been, it ceases to matter the day you became born again. Christ wiped off the slate of your past and gave you a fresh beginning. Oh what a comfort! It’s like having a flash drive, on it are several corrupted folders of sins and its consequences. You would have folders like ‘sickness’, ‘condemnation’, ‘poverty’, and so on, every time, you try to do something good with this flash, the virus in it just appears and destroys the good you are trying to do.
Christ took the flash formatted it and created New folders in it, folders like ‘righteousness’, ‘love’, ‘ Zoe’, and so on. The most beautiful part of it is that the flash drive can no longer be corrupted because it was formatted with the INCORRUPTIBLE seed of God’s Word (1Peter 1:23).
Devil can no longer relate who you are now from who you used to be, it’s a total change of nature. The nature of sin in you was removed and the nature of God Himself was imputed into you. The virus in the original flash drive was ‘the sin nature’, it brought death, it incapacitated you from doing good. But this new nature of God is life, it empowers you to do good. It is not just new, it is safe from future corruption, what a bliss!
You need to fellowship more with the ’IN HIM’ realities, go to the epistles, Colossians, Ephesians, Philippians, Corinthians and so on and study who you are and what has been made available for you IN HIM. I didn’t say read, it is beyond knowledge, it must become A REVELATION in you. Prayer turns knowledge into revelation. It is your spirit grabbing the truth that already exist, it dawns on you, the scripture suddenly stands out, it goes beyond head knowledge to becoming a ‘heart knowledge’. Take the scriptures and begin to meditate it, that is, say it to yourself over and over, Holy Spirit begins to give you more understanding about it. It begins to rule your consciousness.
The revelation of who you are in Christ keeps your joy constant. These are few examples;I am in Christ, I am a New creation, I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ,( 2Corinthians 5:17) , In Him I live, I move and have my being (Acts 17:28), He has made me accepted in the beloved, In Him I have redemption, even the forgiveness of sin,(Ephesians 1:6-7). In Him I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. In Him I triumph always (2Corinthians 2:14), In Him I do good works (Eph 2:10), In Him I have boldness and undeniable access to the father always……..
You can get the rest and begin to fellowship with these realities till you have revelation in this knowledge.
The level of your joy is the product of the revelation of your identity in Him. Joy is not happiness. Happiness is an expression of what is going on externally. Joy on the other hand is an expression from the inside independent of external influences. Revelation is from the inside out, it stirs up the rivers of joy in you. As a believer you ought to be joyful always, for the kingdom of God is not in meat or drinking but, righteousness and peace and JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST (Romans 14:17). How to stir up this joy is by keeping in your consciousness the revelation of who you are in Him.
You remember how He forgave you and then you go ahead and scream, you remember how he justified you and you scream again, you remember your righteousness is from Him, then you scream again, Now this is no longer joy but REPEATED JOY. To rejoice means to ‘repeat a joy’. Philippians 3:1 didn’t say we should be joyful but it says to RE-JOICE. The more your revelation, the more repeated your joy ……..it’s an unending flow.
