This is the continuation of my last post ‘the unrighteous christian’. I advise that you take a look before you continue.
We became sinners not because we sinned but because Adam sinned. It was man who sinned, it had to be man that would die for sins. This was why Jesus became flesh(John 1:14). Humanity had to atone for humanity. The first Adam brought all mankind into a mess, Jesus had to come in the likeness of the first Adam to bring us out of the mess.1 Corinthians 15 calls Jesus the Last Adam. Just as we were included in the first Adam’s sin, we were also included in Christ redemptive work. For the sake of this series, I want us to see some similarities and differences between the First and the Last Adam(Jesus).
1. The are both Sons of God. (Luke 3:38, Romans 1:1-4)
2. The first Adam was a created son of God, the Last Adam was declared to be the Son of God (Gen 1:26, Hebrews 1:1-5, 8-13, Romans 1:4)
The first Adam had flesh and blood, Jesus had to partake of this also, this was why He became flesh. (1John 5:
3. Sin came through the Fist Adam (Romans 5:12- therefore just as through ONE MAN, SIN entered the world….) Grace came through the Last Adam( John 1:14)
4. Death (spiritual and physical) reigned through the first Adam , because the wages of sin is death (Gen 2:17-….for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely DIE) .Eternal Life came through Christ. (Romans 6:23)
5. Through the first Adam,Sin brought Judgement, Judgement brought condemnation but In Christ, Grace brought Justification and justification is the gift of No condemnation.(Romans 5:18- Therefore, as through ONE MAN ‘s offense, Judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even as through ONE MAN ‘s righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
6. We became sinners through the first Adam, we became Righteous through the Last Adam. Romans 5:19- for as by ONE MAN’s disobedience, many WERE MADE SINNERS, so also by ONE MAN’s obedience, Many will BE MADE RIGHTEOUS. As you are quick to believe you became sinful through the first Adam, you must also be quick to believe you became righteous through the Last Adam.

Sickness came through the first Adam as a consequence of sin but Healing and divine health came through the Last Adam as a benefit of Grace. 1 Peter 2:24-who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we having died to sins night live for righteousness,- BY WHOSE STRIPES YOU WERE HEALED.
1 Corinthians 15:22-For as in Adam, ALL DIE, even so In Christ, ALL SHALL BE MADE ALIVE.
At the time Adam sinned, all men were in his loins, at the time Christ died, all men were also in His loins. Adam sinned in the past, and you and I who were yet to be born (in the future) were also included in his sins. When Jesus died, He didn’t die for the present sins only, He also died for the sins yet to be committed, this is why we say you have been forgiven even before you sinned. Your confession of sins only appropriates the forgiveness that has been made available unto you.
You and I were included in the works of redemption, when Jesus died, we died with Him (Romans 6:8), when He was crucified, we were crucified with Him( Romans 6:6- Knowing this that our old man was crucified with Him). When Jesus was buried, we were buried with Him (Romans 6:4-therefore we were buried with Him through baptism…) . When Christ was quickened, we were quickened with Him (Ephesians 2:5- even when we were dead in trespasses, quickened us TOGETHER WITH CHRIST). When Christ was raised from the dead, we were raised with Him, (Ephesians 2:6- AND RAISED US UP TOGETHER…) When He sat at the right hand of the Father, we were also made to sit with Him ( Ephesians 2:6… AND MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS).
We don’t try to work for our righteousness, we submit to the one we have obtained through Christ, when you believe and confess the Lordship of Jesus, you appropriate all the works of redemption in your life. Whenever Satan tries to bring into your life what Christ took on your behalf, you have to resist him and remind him that Christ took it, It is called the law of double jeopardy,don’t allow it. If He brings condemnation, remind yourself that in Christ, there is no such thing(Romans 8:1) Christ was condemned, so that you should no longer be condemned. If he tries to make you believe you are unrighteous because you once missed the mark, remind him, that the righteousness God gave you is a gift and the gift of God is without repentance, so you are still the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
This is the identity of a new man in Christ Jesus, I want you to say this confession with me, Lord I thank you because I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ, I have been justified in Him, therefore I am above condemnation, I am dead to sin because I died with Christ, I have been forgiven, I cannot be judged because Christ has been judged. I have eternal life in me, it has swallowed up every form of death, I have healing and I enjoy divine health in Christ. I rule and enforce authority over every principalities and power because I am seated far above them. Whatever cannot be found in Christ cannot be found in me. I lay hold on all redemption has made available for me. This is my reality!
If you allow these things rule your consciousness, even devil cannot step into your domain, consciousness of your identity is the first guarantee of freedom.
