I established from the beginning of this series that THE REAL WOMAN is a spirit. Your spirit is a love being. You might be struggling with expressing the love of God to men but you need to understand that you have the capacity to love.
When you became born again, it was spirit that was recreated and it was made in the image and likeness of God. When God made the first Adam, in Gen 1:26, He made him’ in his image and His own likeness’, the Adam God made in chapter one of Genesis is a spirit, in chapter 2, God went ahead to form a body for him. Genesis 2:7- And the Lord God FORMED MAN OF THE DUST OF THE GROUND, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being. The spirit God had created in chapter one came into the body formed when God breathed into his nostrils.
The first Adam looked like God, his spirit had the nature of God, but he lost this when he sinned, his spirit became dead and lost connection with the Father of all spirits. Thank God for Jesus, the second Adam, who came to regenerate our spirits back in the image and likeness of God, He imparted the life of God and His nature into our spirits. 1Corinthians 15:45- and so it is written, The first man Adam became a living being. The last Adam became A LIFE GIVING SPIRIT.
Jesus came to impart the life of God into our spirits, John 10:10….I have come that you may have Life and that they may have it more abundantly. Glory to God! Our spirits has the very life that God has, not a lower or lesser quality of Life. It is called ZOE, ETERNAL LIFE!
The crux of this post is not about the life alone but also the beautiful nature of God imparted into our spirits when we became born again, it is called LOVE(Agape).
A new man in Christ Jesus should never struggle to love because he has been given the capacity to, the Holy Spirit shed the love of God abroad in our heart at the new birth, Romans 5:5-Now hope does not disappoint, BECAUSE THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN POURED OUT IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT who was given to us.
I need to emphasize here that there are different meanings to the word ‘love’, according to various types, will mention few but common ones in this post. 1. Eros- this is the emotional love between a man and a woman. 2. Storge- this is the love between a mother and her child, also known as family love.. 3. Phileo- this means brotherly love 4. Agape- unconditional love.
The Love shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit is Agape, and this is the highest Form of love. It is wrong for a new man in Christ to pray to have love, you have the love nature in you already as a seed, just that you might not have been expressing it. You can pray to abound in it and your expression of it. Today, we have many believers who loves with their tongue but their deeds are contrary. 1 John 3:18- my little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
Please permit me to take you on a journey on how to love or express the love nature in you. Please don’t assume you know all there is to love, let your heart be open to learn the genuine way to love. Even if you have been loving in deeds, there is always more, you can abound in love. We will never understand how to love until we know How God loved and still loves us. The bible does not say God has love, but that God is love. Love is the essence of God’s character. He demonstrated love that we might learn to do the same.
